I bought my Stanley garage door opener in 1995 and the remote was shot. Took a chance on this item. Didn't work at first until support suggested reversing the dipsticks in the up/down position (old remote sticks up, this remote sticks down). It works great! Has much longer range than my old one and I love the smaller size.

GE 45130 Choice-Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor Review

GE 45130 Choice-Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor

Works great after your realize the 150 feet remote range is questionable. It took us 2 weeks to figure out we had to move the control box closer to the remotes. Works great now and lets us know if either door is open or closed from living room. We don't have to go downstairs to check. Also I didn't realize remotes don't come with control box and had to order seperately after the fact.

The GE 45130 Choice Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor helps secure your expensive automobiles and outdoor equipment by monitoring any overhead door, sending an alert to your Choice Alert Wireless Control Center when the door has been opened. The gravity-activated sensor is powered by a long-lasting lithium battery (included), is completely wire-free, requires no electricity, and easily installs without drilling.
Installation is quick and easy: no wiring or drilling required. Note: This product must be used with the GE 45129 Wireless Control Center or with the GE 45142 Wireless Control Center Starter Kit (each sold separately). The GE 45130 Garage Door Sensor can work alongside other wireless Choice Alert components as part of a GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm System.
Part of the GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm SystemThe GE 45130 Garage Door Sensor is part of the GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm System line of products. Cost-effective and easy to install, Choice Alert components offer wireless operation, multi-zone coverage, home and away settings, all-weather function, and expandability for complete home protection.
With wireless capabilities, Choice Alert products require no complicated wiring, drilling or expensive installation costs. And because they are designed to be part of a self-contained system, there are no monthly usage charges. System components are simple enough for anyone to use, and they can be combined to provide a customized blanket of protection over your entire property.
Wireless Control Center for Sensor MonitoringThe entire Choice Alert Security System is designed around the Wireless Control Center, the system's hub. The Control Center monitors each and every sensor that is wirelessly connected to it. As many as four sensors can be programmed in each of four zones, giving you the security of up to 16 sensors to guard your entire home, including sensors for doors, windows, gates, water leaks, and motion detection.
The Wireless Control Center allows you to secure your system with a custom four-digit code that can be changed at any time. Plus, the center lets you control many system features. For example, you can select 'Home' mode for an instant alarm and 'Away' mode for a delayed alarm. In addition to the armed alarm system, the Control Center also offers a visible and audible Zone Notification alert system (with a choice of continuous alert or single chime mode) and a dedicated alert zone (Zone 4). The center wirelessly transmits and receives signals up to 150 feet.
Additionally, the Wireless Control Center features a low-battery indicator that will alert you when battery power is low in a specific zone, so you'll know exactly when to replace the batteries in every one of your components.
Combine Components for Total Home CoverageTo complement the Garage Door Sensor, there are several components available for use with the Wireless Control Center, including a door/window sensor, motion detector, water leak sensor, secondary audio alarm siren, signal repeater (for enhanced wireless range), and Silent Alert LED indicator. Add up to 16 sensors and give yourself the peace of mind that only complete home protection can provide.
Installs Wirelessly to Monitor Any Overhead DoorInstalling the GE 45130 Choice Alert Garage Door Sensor requires no wiring or drilling. Using the included double-sided tape or screws, simply mount the sensor to the inside of an overhead door near its bottom and then pair the sensor with the Wireless Control Center. The Garage Door Sensor is powered by a lithium cell battery that will last for up to 24 months.
The Garage Door Sensor operates within 150 feet of the Wireless Control Center, and it can be used with any of the center's four zones. Anytime your overhead door is opened, the Garage Door Sensor will send a signal to the Wireless Control Center, which will in turn emit an alarm, chime, or silent visual alert (Zone Four) depending on the setting you choose.
The GE 45130 Choice Alert Garage Door Sensor is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

Chamberlain Motion Detection Control Panel 935CB Review

Chamberlain Motion Detection Control Panel 935CB

(More customer reviews)
I bought this because the main way people get in and out of my house is through the garage and it can be dark at times. Rather than fumbling with a light switch I thought this would be great. It's easy to set up and plug in since it uses the same wiring as the old one. The annoying part is that this unit uses the same mounting pattern (which is nice since I didn't have to change the screws) but it sits about a half inch higher than the old opener. Now it looks weird next to my second door opener, easy fix but annoying since everything else is plug and play. The automatic light feature works pretty well but I have noticed sometimes it doesn't turn on when I think it should. The other night I was taking out the trash and walked right by it and it didn't go off, but when I walked back past it to go into the house it turned on. I haven't played with the sensitivity yet but it seems it should work more reliably than it has. I think it was worth the investment but also think it could work better.

LiftMaster Chamberlain 315MHz High Memory Universal Coaxial Gate Receiver 312HM Review

LiftMaster Chamberlain 315MHz High Memory Universal Coaxial Gate Receiver 312HM

The chamberlain 312hm receiver is a great product, I used this and a clicker on a rf project I am working on. The unit draws very little current when in standby and the ability to run on 12dc is perfect for experimental projects. I have not tested maximum range but it is sufficient for my needs. Think of this reciever as a rf activated relay with one set of normally open contacts.

Liftmaster 973LM 390MHz 3 Button Remote(See Tech. Details Below) Review

This might be a good product in and of itself, but I wish the information on it had been more clear. I needed a second opener that would work with my existing unit, and thought I could program this remote to match what I have. However, the way this transmitter works is by reprogramming your system to fit itself. It cannot be calibrated to fit your system. So if you are looking for a single replacement remote and you have an orange programming light on your garage unit, this may work for you. But if you want a second or spare opener, look elsewhere.

Chamberlain 940CB Security and Wireless Keypad Review

Chamberlain 940CB Security and Wireless Keypad
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pros: Sturdy, made from the same company as Garage door opener, Lit keypad, Easy to install, comes with 9V battery and screws
Cons: The battery compartment lid is not easy to open, only 4 digit code can be used
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the button on the garage door opener is RED, otherwise you need another keypad model. check this link http://www.chamberlainremotesonline.com/?gclid=COyJ0Z-auJgCFSIgDQodWF7AbA
When syncing the code with opener, remember to sync this keypad, car remotes and garage door opener button simultaneously. This means that
1-Press RED button on motor, green LED is lit
2-Enter 4 digit code on remote (as desired)
3-Now press enter key + car remote key + garage door opener button(fixed on wall ,not the RED button) at the same time (may require two persons) , ligth will blink and now all the devices will be synced. If you miss any remote during this process ,it will not work.Of course you can repeat the process.
4-Check all remotes and keypad are working
5-Now install it on the wall, for one of the screws you have to open the battery lid.
I don't know about the long term reliability of the product because it has only been a week since i have installed it.
