I hesitated to order this because I couldn't tell if it will work with my parents' 10 year-old Sears' garage door opener but for $13 ($8+shipping) vs. $40+tax locally for a Sears brand remote, I gave it a try and was not disappointed. Programming instructions that came with the remote were much simpler than what were listed on the garage door unit - simply hold the green learn button on the garage door unit for 2nd seconds and press the red button on the remote control and that was all it took.
